Here’s Why You Should Never Compare Yourself to Celebrities (Before and After Pics) | THE HALL OF BEAUTY

Aren’t all the celebrities absolutely gorgeous? They have the perfect eyes that reflect with confidence, incredible posture, beautiful sculpted bodies and flawless skin…and sorry to burst your bubble, but most of it is photoshopped.

First of all, let me get this out of my chest; you do not need to look perfect; it is not your job and neither are you getting paid (unlike models and celebrities) to look drop dead gorgeous. In real life your actions, words and character matters more than your looks; and if someone prefers your looks over your personality, that person is not for you.

Here are some before and after pictures of famous celebrities that tell us that they are, in fact, just as human as we are. However, it is their job to look perfect; your job is to make the world a better place. You should never feel bad about your skin or body or features as long as you are taking care of yourself, and that’s all that matters. Confidence is not in being perfect; confidence is in accepting your imperfections.

Disclaimer: This post is not to bitch about celebrities or bring them down, because they are all beautiful in their own ways, but so are you; and I aim this post to let you know that sometimes we wish for things of others that they don’t even have themselves, and that we should be thankful for what we already have because someone somewhere might be wishing for what you have right now.

With that being said, let’s see some before and after pictures of our favorite celebrities that show us that nobody is, in fact, perfect.

Britney Spears: As it is clearly visible, her skin looks flawless in the photoshopped picture, brows are lifted, nose is thinner, also the discoloration, freckles and wrinkles are gone; she basically looks twenty years younger than the first picture.

Beyonce: The difference between these two pictures is huge! A lot of people want their makeup to look like the photoshopped version of this, but there are a lot of factors that go into a flawless base like that; most of which is a good skin care routine, which most of us don’t have and then expect makeup to create magic.
Her jawline is also photoshopped which should bring us all to reality that perfection is a myth.

Penelop Cruz: This beautiful actress in now 43 years old and the signs of aging is clearly visible in the original picture, which is absolutely normal. If you expect to look 16 year old for the rest of your life, you’re dreaming with your eyes open. Yes, a good skin care routine helps (maybe some botox and fillers), but eventually there is downfall for everything great. So thinking that celebrities don’t age and look perfect till their last breath is an ignorant statement. We should accept our imperfections and stop comparing ourselves to celebrities and people who earn a living by being gorgeous.

Katy Perry: Here the makeup looks extremely cake-y; maybe she was having a bad day, just like the most of us.

Lindsay Lohan: Our beautiful mean girl seem to be aging too fast; but nobody has a perfect life or a skin. Where we gawk at this beautiful girl in all her perfection and wish to look like her, we should also take under consideration that it might, in fact, be edited to extremes.

This is not to bring these beautiful ladies down, this is for you to stop beating yourself up about not being as perfect as the faces shown on screens.

I hope this post did what I wanted it to do; because honestly, beauty is in imperfections.

Thank you so much for hanging out with me!

      1. Cuts called face app. It was the Hollywood mode that made me look glam. They even had a guy mode that lets u c how u look as a guy. I told my husband if we weren’t married, I’d date myself.
