Another year has passed by, and here we are yet again discussing our failed attempts at achieving previous year’s goals and going through with the resolutions.
Happy 2019! Here is a New Year and fireworks themed eye look!
In my previous post, I’ve summarized my 2018 which, might I say, was pretty eventful. And now we step into 2019.
2019 Resolutions
- I’ll spread more smiles this year. I will grow and not let anything stop me from being a better person.
- I will read more and lessen my screen time.
- I will maintain my desired weight, and live a healthier life.
- I will learn to cook better.
- I’ll save up more than I spend.
2019 Goals
- I’ll reach at least 1k followers on WordPress & 1k on Youtube.
- I’ll hit 10k on Instagram & 1k on Twitter.
- I’ll Visit Iraq this Arba’een (Imam Hussein a.s Chehlum).
- I’ll read at least 12 books this year.
Catch Up
Lesson Learned in 2018: Silence can save you from destruction. It’s better to keep your mouth shut than to say things that are negative, can hurt someone, ruin your image, or are generally unwelcome. How is it not better that you listen to people and learn, rather than speak non stop and reveal your weaknesses, secrets and stupidity. Isn’t it better to be prioritized than clinging to people? Isn’t it better to be asked to speak and share your views, than to open your mouth when your words are least appreciated? Silence can sometimes be equal to self-respect.
Biggest Professional Accomplishment in 2018: I hit 3k on Instagram! It might not be a lot for many people, but for me it’s actually another step closer to my goals and success.
Biggest Personal Accomplishment of 2018: I got engaged!
Biggest Religious Accomplishment of 2018: I visited the Holy Iraq!
What I’m Into These Days:
What I’m Doing: I’m currently a junior teacher in Tajweed ul Qur’an classes by the Kareema-e-Ehlebait. I’m also taking three classes per week consisting of Islamic education. Other than that, I’m focusing on my blog right now, so I hope that works out well. I have something exciting coming up, I just hope it goes as planned. Need your well wishes.
What I’m into: I’m into Bullet Journaling again, but not the detailed type. I’m trying be more organised by keeping a track of everything instead of having to design the journal on a monthly basis. I’m also enjoying writing a summary of my day by the end of it; a daily diary.
Other than that, I’m very much into book reading these days, so I’ve got a reading list and I’m going to try and read as many books this year as I can. I’m also gravitating back towards more personal writings than strictly beauty. I’m more into novel writing, creative pieces, fiction, and what not. So, you might see more of that on the blog.
What I’m Reading: Currently I’m reading 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher. I’ve watched the series and found it interesting. The other day I went to Liberty Books and this one just stood out so I got it for PKR 895. And now I’m on the first chapter and it’s quite interesting, thank god. I was afraid that after Harry Potter I might not be able to find any other book as interesting as that series. Let’s hope I stay a book worm.
What I’m Watching: I’ve watched the Harry Potter Movies recently; all of them. And I like them very much, however, the books are so much better (as always). Looking forward to watching more movies and TV series now that I’m finally done with the university. If you have any suggestions, leave a comment.
That’s it. I hope you enjoyed today’s post. For more, follow this blog. Following are the links to my social media. Don’t forget to leave a comment. ❤
With a positive energy; I’ll see you next time!
